Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday The Technical Systems Lead provides deep technical insight across ND&I tools by understanding system interactions, data flows and integration constraints. The role enables effective product decisions, supports feasibility for AI and automation, and strengthens tooling performance across ND&I. Build a clear technical understanding of ND&I's tooling ecosystem, including system interactions, data flows, integrations and dependencies across OSS, IT and operational systems. Partner with Product Managers (AI & Automation and In‑Life Tools) to assess technical feasibility, constraints, risks and options for new capabilities, enhancements or tool replacements. Analyse end‑to‑end system behaviour and identify impacts of tooling changes across upstream/downstream systems, ensuring alignment with ND&I operational needs. Work closely with OSS Design to validate solution concepts, ensuring proposals meet integration, data, performance and security requirements without duplicating formal architecture ownership. Support evaluation of new tools or AI/automation opportunities by assessing fit with ND&I systems, data availability, technical constraints and integration complexity. Provide technical input to incident root‑cause investigations, partnering with the In‑Life Product Manager, OSS and IT teams to clarify expected behaviour and system dependencies. Maintain technical artefacts such as system interaction maps, data flow views and integration overviews to improve understanding and decision‑making across ND&I. Support POCs, pilots and MVPs by advising on technical considerations, integration needs, data readiness and system behaviours while Product Managers retain product ownership. Participate in tooling governance and prioritisation forums chaired by the Senior Manager Digital Solutions & Tooling, providing technical insight, risks and recommendations. Ensure ND&I tools adhere to agreed technical standards, data governance principles and operational readiness expectations by influencing through expertise rather than design authority. Strong experience in technical roles across digital tooling, OSS, IT or systems integration environments. Deep understanding of system interactions, data flows, APIs, interfaces and integration patterns in complex operational ecosystems. Ability to analyse technical constraints, dependencies and system behaviours to inform product decisions. Experience working alongside Product Managers, Architects, Engineers and operational teams to shape feasible, value‑aligned solutions. Understanding of AI/automation concepts and data requirements to support feasibility assessments. Skilled in creating clear technical artefacts (integration views, flow maps, interaction diagrams) without owning formal architecture. Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic capability, especially in system behaviour and incident analysis. Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical insights into simple, actionable inputs for product and business teams.
