We are seeking highly motivated emerging talent to participate in a 9-week immersive internship program from October 19th to December 11th 2026. This program offers university and graduate students hands-on experience through project-based work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Throughout the program, Interns will have exposure to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities.
The Mechanical Engineering internship for Strategic Systems will participate in a project involving component mechanical engineering for components of a roll control system (RCS).
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Conduct SolidWorks tasks including entry level mechanical design, drawings, data management, and creation of toolbox features
- →
Assist in performing integrating and collecting engineering data for basic lab-based testing
- →Ability to machine and fabricate simple prototype test components
- →
Assist engineering personnel in creating PowerPoint presentations, engineering test data reduction using Excel, writing reports using Word
Requirements
~1 min read- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; junior standing by fall 2026
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with SolidWorks, Ansys, and Microsoft Office tools
- Working knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles and formulas
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems
- Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion
- Previous internship, coursework, or project experience
*Hourly rate determined by academic year, college major, line of business, geography
