We are looking for a proactive and student-focused Study Abroad Counsellor – US to guide students and parents through their overseas education journey. The role involves understanding academic and career aspirations, recommending suitable universities and courses, and providing end-to-end counselling support from initial enquiry through admission.

The ideal candidate will combine strong study abroad knowledge, counselling skills, relationship management, and education sales experience with the ability to build trust and convert qualified enquiries into successful admissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct professional face-to-face counselling sessions with students and parents.
• Understand students' academic profiles, career aspirations, preferences, and financial considerations.
• Recommend suitable countries, universities, courses, and study pathways based on individual student requirements.
• Provide detailed guidance on U.S. universities, admission requirements, eligibility criteria, application timelines, and course options.
• Support students throughout the end-to-end application and admission process.
• Assist with application forms, documentation, university submissions, interviews, and visa-related requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with students and parents and provide timely updates throughout the counselling journey.
• Build strong relationships with prospective students and parents to establish trust and improve enrolment conversions.
• Manage and follow up on enquiries, leads, and prospective student applications.
• Work towards achieving monthly counselling, conversion, and enrolment targets.
• Develop, manage, and expand relationships with education agents and channel partners.
• Leverage existing education-agent networks to generate qualified overseas education leads.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with channel partners and support them with relevant programme and admission information.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, follow-ups, and admissions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth student experience from enquiry through enrolment.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 1+ years of relevant experience, with 2–3 years of experience in education sales, counselling, or overseas education preferred.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of study abroad counselling, particularly U.S. higher education.
• Knowledge of USA and Germany study-abroad markets is an advantage.
• Proven experience guiding students through university selection, applications, admissions, and related processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with students and parents.
• Excellent counselling, influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve counselling, conversion, and enrolment targets.
• Existing network of education agents/channel partners supporting overseas education is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop, manage, and expand channel-partner relationships to generate qualified leads.
• Strong follow-up skills and a proactive approach to lead and student management.
• Ability to understand individual student circumstances and provide relevant, personalised guidance.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple students, applications, and deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a target-driven, customer-facing, and on-site environment.
• Proficiency in digital tools and CRM or student-management systems is an advantage.
• Graduation in any discipline is required; a postgraduate qualification is preferred.
• Strong commitment to student experience, ethical counselling, accuracy, and professional service.
