What’s the role?
Join Financial Crime Surveillance and step into a leadership role right at the centre of Westpac’s financial crime transformation. As Executive Manager, Product and Strategy, you’ll set the direction for how we detect, prevent and respond to financial crime across the Group, bringing together operations, technology, data science and risk to deliver safer outcomes for customers.

You’ll lead a team of six across product management, data science and analytics, shaping a clear operating model and a multi-year roadmap that lifts capability through advanced analytics, AI and automation. You’ll also build the governance and discipline that turns strategy into delivery, making sure initiatives land on time and create real impact.

This is a hybrid, full time role with Sydney, preferred, and Melbourne, also considered. You’ll work a minimum of three days in the office, with travel required to connect with the team and key stakeholders for planning and engagement sessions.

What do I need?

• Proven leadership experience shaping product strategy and translating it into delivery across complex, regulated environments
• Strong understanding of financial crime risk, including fraud, scams, AML, CTF, KYC or sanctions, and how controls work in practice
• Confidence partnering with senior leaders across risk, technology, data and operations, with the ability to influence priorities and investment decisions
• Experience using data, analytics and operational insights to improve detection, customer outcomes and efficiency through smarter ways of working
• Clear, inclusive communication skills, with the ability to build high performing teams and create a culture of continuous improvement
