What’s the role?
The Senior Manager reports into the Executive Manager, Controls & Optimisation. This role manages non-financial risk control and monitoring processes through data analytics to drive strong non-financial risk management, compliance outcomes, and an improved control environment and culture. The role partners with key stakeholders to uplift non-financial risk management practices and maturity especially around the automated control testing to drive efficiencies across the business through analytics.
This role involves leading initiatives to drive risk management optimisation through process simplification, analytics, AI enablement and automation. It supports the simplification of CSA and control assessment, strengthens governance frameworks, and applies data-driven insights to uplift control maturity and efficiency. It also provides thought leadership on future-state approaches, partners closely with stakeholders, and supports control assessments and NFR metrics to enhance overall control performance and risk transparency.
What do I need?
- Strong Line 1 risk background with experience in control testing and control assessments (essential)
- Data analytics and visualisation capability, including experience with tools such as Power BI and Alteryx (desirable)
- Strong problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and project management capability
- High level of integrity with well-developed interpersonal, stakeholder and teamwork skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. information systems, mathematics or related discipline)
