Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead and manage the home in line with the CARE model, relevant legislation, service standards and LWB policies and procedures
- →Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential setting
- →Be a visible and supportive leader in the home, offering guidance and role modelling for your team
- →Oversee and implement therapeutic care plans to support the wellbeing of children and young people
- →Guide your team in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques
- →Provide reflective supervision and mentoring to staff, fostering a strong, supportive team culture
Requirements
~1 min read- Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, or a related field (desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
- Leadership experience in services supporting children and young people, such as out-of-home care (OOHC) and Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) settings
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, complex health needs, or behaviours of concern
- Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, embedding therapeutic care practices
- Current First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011)
- A Current & Unrestricted driver’s licence
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register checks
