Sandblast-Painter

William Grant is looking to hire an experienced industrial sandblaster and painter to join our production team.

Essential job duties:

• Adhere to all applicable governing codes, customer specifications, and company procedures
  
• Read drawings and specifications to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
• Make on-site preparations (build scaffolding, cover fixtures and openings, etc.)
• Prepare surfaces for painting by sandblasting
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color and/or texture
• Apply finishes
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment; performs other routine maintenance duties
• Assist with yard and shop activities (hydro testing, loading, shipping, deliveries, etc.)
• Dispose of all waste appropriately

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Proven experience in industrial painting
• Good basic bath skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
• Proficient in English
• Excellent communication skills, listening, comprehension and feedback
• Strong team building and decision-making
• High attention to detail
• Strong work ethic, and the ability to handle peak work times

Physical Requirements:

Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, medium work, visual acuity
