Follow up. Remove barriers. Help students stay engaged and succeed.

Attendance matters.

When students attend, arrive on time and stay engaged, they give themselves the best chance of success. When things start to slip, the right contact at the right time can make a real difference.

As our Student Liaison Officer, you’ll be part of the Head of Studies team, supporting students to improve attendance, punctuality and engagement.

You’ll monitor daily attendance, follow up absences and work with students, parents, carers and colleagues to address barriers to learning. You’ll use college systems and data to spot patterns, track actions and support timely intervention.

This is is a role for someone who is organised, confident and proactive. You’ll need to communicate clearly, manage competing priorities and keep accurate records. You’ll also need to understand that attendance work is not just about chasing absence. It is about helping students build routines, access support and stay connected to college.
