About the Role
~1 min readWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with advanced accounting expertise, proven leadership in reviewing and guiding accounting work, and deep hands-on QuickBooks Online experience. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing client books, delivering financial reports, and supporting the broader accounting team.

~1 min read- →Maintain and manage client books in QuickBooks Online
- →Review QuickBooks files for accurate coding, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transaction completeness
- →Perform accounting clean-ups and catch-up work for clients with incomplete records
- →Classify transactions and complete monthly reconciliations for bank, credit card, and liability accounts
- →Tie out payroll liabilities and payroll-related expenses
- →Prepare monthly financial statement packages including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports
- →Deliver financial reports to clients and explain key results
- →Conduct regular client check-in meetings to review financial performance and answer questions
- →Complete year-end workpapers and prepare adjusting journal entries
- Review work prepared by accountants and bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Provide feedback and guidance to team members
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding documentation and financial matters
- Maintain timely responses to client communications
- Manage tasks, deadlines, and workflows using firm systems and tools
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Experience reviewing accounting work and maintaining quality standards
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Teams
- Experience with payroll accounting
- Experience supporting a law firm or professional services business
- Personal injury law firm experience is a plus
- Experience with legal practice management software such as Filevine, Clio, or similar platforms.
- Formal accounting or bookkeeping qualifications/certifications
