Woodard & Curran is looking for temporary Water Treatment Technicians, Mechanics and/or Maintenance Technicians in Lake County until the end of September! In this role, you will regularly participate in the daily operations and maintenance for a facility that treats, and then returns, lake water back to its natural environment. Schedule: 3:00pm to 11:00pm Monday through Friday. Opportunity for overtime pay
Monitor treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, making adjustments as necessary to control their operation.
Monitor, inspect and sample influent and effluent as required.
Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance and satisfaction of water quality project goals
Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties.
Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintain all necessary records.
Perform general maintenance on plant equipment and maintain landscaping of the facility
Must be computer literate and capable of working within databases, Microsoft Office and other project related software
Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, front-end loaders, and dozers
Perform extensive mowing and grounds maintenance tasks
Operate equipment and perform assigned duties from a boat as required
Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements
Support other operational tasks as needed
Experience in water or wastewater utilities is a plus
The position is for Second Shift (3pm-11pm) both inside and outside in variable weather conditions
High School Degree or Equivalent
Valid Florida Driver's License required
Class “B” CDL strongly preferred.
Ability to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as follow safety procedures.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOT background check, DOT pre-placement physical and DOT drug screen before employment.
