Our client (HSE) is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced medical professionals for the position of Temporary Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team, delivering high-quality psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care for children and adolescents presenting with a broad range of mental health difficulties.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and patient-centred service while working collaboratively with clinical, nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, and community partners.
Responsibilities

Provide consultant-led psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and adolescents.

Deliver evidence-based care in line with HSE policies, national standards, and best clinical practice.

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Participate in clinical governance, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to non-consultant hospital doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Contribute to on-call and emergency psychiatric services as required.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Requirements

Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Irish Medical Council in the specialty of Psychiatry.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Demonstrated experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.
Access to transport
Desirable:
Experience working within CAMHS services.
Experience in multidisciplinary and community-based mental health settings.
Training and experience in clinical supervision and teaching.
