Job Title: International Admissions Office Assistant
Department: Admissions
Student Employment Type: Non-Federal Work Study     
Responsibilities:
  • Whether virtually or on-campus, serve as a guide and resource to prospective, newly admitted, and current international students.
  • Participate in live or virtual events and/or information sessions, as needed.
  • Assist with international campus visitors as well as answer phone and email inquiries to the International Student Admissions email and forward specific email inquiries to Admissions and OISS staff.
  • Assist with transcript evaluation through formulas and resources.
  • Create promotional material for social media platforms.
  • Supporting online peer-to-peer engagement with prospective students via a live chat platform and other technical platforms.
  • Contribute to new and ongoing project work that advances the work of the Office of International Admissions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in Quinnipiac’s undergraduate or graduate studies
  • Positively promote the Quinnipiac community by sharing stories of your experience comfortably and confidently.
  • Be able to provide a welcoming and helpful atmosphere to individuals from a wide range of cultural and language backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Exhibit a professional attitude; demonstrate a willingness to lead, solve problems, and collaborate as a team player.
  • Prompt response to all office communications (email, Google Calendar invitations, Zoom, etc.).
  • Strong desire to help new international students.
  • Self-motivated
Hours of Position:
  • Up to 10 hours/week 
  • Monday- Friday 9 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  
    • Some duties may require assisting in virtual or in person events outside of working hours or on the weekend.
