About Woven by Toyota
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.
Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.

Toyota is redefining what it means to move. We're challenging the current state of mobility by enhancing the movement of people, goods, information and energy. Centered around three core concepts - A Living Laboratory™, Human-Centered, and Ever Evolving City™ - Woven City serves as a test course for mobility to fulfill our purpose of well-being for all.
We do this by bringing together a diverse community of people with a shared passion for the future of mobility to co-create, develop and refine innovative products and services. This cross-section of social infrastructure, mobility, and people provides a unique opportunity for inventors, residents and visitors to interact seamlessly with new technologies throughout daily life in an environment that emulates a real city.
We'll expand "mobility" not only for people but also for goods or information. Regarding the mobility of things, we believe that if we can provide a service that makes moving things incredibly easy, it could potentially change our values and lifestyles. To this end, we are developing the Robot Platform—a shared infrastructure and product suite that enables diverse services to be built and operated using robots, smart devices, operations, and simulation technology. Going forward, we will collaborate with Inventors to expand platform capabilities and propose solutions, enabling customers both inside and outside Woven City to build and deliver services quickly.

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager who can turn customer challenges into product reality on the Robot Platform. You will work closely with Inventors and business customers to deeply understand their challenges, design solutions leveraging the Robot Platform, and drive development in collaboration with engineering teams. This role is fundamentally about business impact—you identify opportunities, define what to build and why, and shepherd features from concept to delivery. Technical fluency matters: you are expected to take ownership of subsystem-level design decisions in collaboration with engineers and reason about trade-offs. But your primary lens is the customer and the product, not the system architecture.
This position will also require travel to the Woven City field site in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture, depending on the product development phase. If you are excited about building solutions at the intersection of hardware and software, and shaping a new platform from the ground up, let's make history together.
Uncover real customer needs from Inventors and business customers, and shape them into product requirements and solution proposals
Own the product roadmap for the assigned subsystem or feature area, including prioritization, acceptance criteria, and the "why" behind each item
Drive solutions end-to-end, from problem definition to customer validation, leveraging the Robot Platform
Take ownership of subsystem-level design decisions in collaboration with engineers, including spec definition and trade-off evaluation
Identify gaps in the platform from real-world use cases and lead product improvements to close them
5+ years of practical experience in product management, business development, or customer engagement in a similar domain
Track record of taking customer problems from discovery through solution proposal and delivery
Technical fluency to understand system constraints and evaluate trade-offs with engineers
Experience owning a product or feature end-to-end
Strong Japanese proficiency for smooth communication with customers, and business-level English to clearly provide requirements to engineers
Experience launching a product from zero (MVP definition, early customer validation)
Understanding of platform business models
Practical experience in logistics or mobility domains
Foundational knowledge of robotics / IoT / hardware
Ability to drive requirements with high uncertainty: align stakeholders, concretize solutions, and carry through to validation
