As the Government Affairs Lead for Xcimer Energy, you will apply your skills to build and maintain senior level relationships in key government and state agencies to become a key voice in fusion energy policy. We are looking for leaders in our company to apply their expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!
  • Serve as the primary federal advocate: build and maintain key relationships across DOE/DOD, executive branch, and Congress
  • Manage government stakeholder briefings and visits
  • Identify and pursue federal initiatives, programs and partnerships; manage relationships with lobbyists, consultants, and trade associations
  • Track and analyze legislation and administrative actions related to fusion and energy policies
  • Represent the company in high-level forums (e.g., trade associations, government agencies) and deliver briefings/communications for senior audiences
  • Advocate on fusion energy policies on state level
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience in energy policy and/or federal government
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum
  • Understanding of federal government processes (Congress/government agencies/executive branch)
  • Strong writing, communication, problem solving and influencing skills
  • Strong presentation skills
