About the Role
~1 min readWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Engineering Advisor / DFM Engineer to support product development and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will act as a key link between customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring manufacturability of designs and successful transition into production.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform routine Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews for high-end customer orders
- →Analyze and support optimization of part designs to ensure manufacturability
- →Conduct customer communication via phone and video calls regarding design and production issues
- →Maintain written communication with customers for problem-solving and technical clarification
- →Collaborate with partners and suppliers (written, phone, video) to resolve manufacturability challenges
- →Provide expertise in complaint handling (excluding formal RMA cases)
- →Support continuous improvement of manufacturing and engineering processes
- →Ensure clear and timely resolution of technical production issues
Requirements
~1 min read- 7+ years of experience in CNC machining and/or sheet metal manufacturing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, sheet metal fabrication)
- Experience working with technical drawings and design-related problem solving
- Fluent and professional English
- Fluent and professional German
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail
- Strong understanding of customer needs
- Ability to adapt across different industries
- Working hours: CET (8:00–17:00 or 9:00–18:00)
- Remote work: possible (Germany / Poland / Bulgaria) or office-based (Munich)
- If located in Munich: hybrid work in line with back-to-office policy
- Holiday calendar: local law / Bavarian public holidays
- This role is initially planned as a replacement for approximately 1 year
- Extension is possible depending on team structure and business needs
