This is a full-time, fixed-term employment opportunity for an initial period of 12 months, based in Bendigo, Victoria. This is a unique opportunity in Bendigo to work for a fast-growing, global organisation operating at the centre of international energy and environmental markets. From Bendigo, you will support financial operations across Xpansiv’s global markets and entities, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple regions.
In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating financial settlements, reconciliations, and core accounting processes, while also contributing to high‑quality financial analysis and internal reporting. You will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, operational efficiency, and clear financial insights that support management decision‑making.
No prior experience in environmental or energy markets is required. Comprehensive on‑the‑job training will be provided. Responsibilities

Record financial transactions, including preparing, verifying, allocating, and posting journal entries in accordance with GAAP/IFRS

Perform monthly balance sheet and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of variances

Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, meeting strict deadlines and reviewing financial results for accuracy
- →
Prepare and review customer invoices, collaborating with Sales and other internal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient billing

Facilitate and support global accounts receivable and revenue management processes, operating from Xpansiv’s Bendigo Centre of Excellence

Inspect accounting records and processes to ensure operational efficiency, accuracy, and strong internal controls

Maintain well‑organised, auditable financial records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements

Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial and operational data to support internal reporting and management insights

Develop and maintain regular management reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and identification of key drivers impacting financial performance

Identify anomalies, risks, or process improvement opportunities within financial data, escalating insights and recommendations to Finance leadership as appropriate

Proactively identify and report potential operational risks, control gaps, or practice breaches to Finance leadership.
Requirements

Demonstrated experience in reconciliations, payments, and account management within a finance or accounting environment

Proven ability to execute high‑volume transactional work with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights and management‑ready reporting

Clear thinker and problem solver, able to work across multiple functions in a fast‑paced, global environment

Strong written and verbal business communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non‑finance stakeholders

Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Systems‑savvy, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with financial systems and large datasets

Customer‑focused mindset, with demonstrated relationship management and collaboration skills.
