Job Summary
The Director, Employee Engagement is responsible for setting the strategic direction for key initiatives focused on creating and sustaining a strong sense of engagement for all ZOLL employees. This newly created role will provide guidance and oversight to ensure initiative and program alignment with ZOLL’s mission and business priorities. Key initiatives are company-wide efforts focused on building communities internal to ZOLL, establishing strong partnerships within the communities served by ZOLL’s and connecting ZOLL employees to ZOLL’s mission and products. Current internal community efforts include guiding ZOLL’s overall Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Advisory efforts as well as overseeing The One ZOLL Advantage initiative. This role is also responsible for launching Leading with Heart, a new effort focused on establishing a community volunteer program. The Director, Employee Engagement is a people management role.
Essential Functions
- Propose and implement an overall strategy to build both internal and external communities aligned with ZOLL’s mission and business priorities, including budget considerations, potential partnerships, stakeholder management and communications.
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships across a broad stakeholder network, including executive sponsors, team members, and external partners.
- Guide ZOLL’s overall Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts, including support for Employee Resource Groups, to sustain an inclusive workplace for all employees.
- Lead and inspire a small, dedicated team to achieve overall goals and foster a productive and supportive work environment.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and innovative solutions, tracking performance against key measures.
- Use data-driven insights to inform decisions and recommendations, including identification of opportunities for efficiency and scale across programs.
- Create and delivery development experiences focused on fostering community and inclusion in the workplace.

Required/Preferred Education And Experience
- 10+ years’ experience in training, learning, DEI, Human Resources, or related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field is preferred. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Profession certification in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion or similar.
- Experience leading DE&I programs in a corporate setting.
