Google Analytics Specialist | Checkmate | Remote (India)
Job Description
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Google Analytics Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience managing and analyzing data using Google Analytics. This role requires a deep understanding of web analytics, the ability to interpret data to drive business insights, and the capability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Essential Job Functions:
- Aggregate traffic and revenue data accurately in GA4 from the following sources: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, Checkmate Marketing, and additional online paid/organic sources.
- Fix any data discrepancies due to Google Tag Manager configuration.
- Audit Google Tag Manager’s triggers and tags for accuracy.
- Work with the team to QA tags and data streams for accuracy.
- Lead and assist in building visualizations and dashboards.
- Run SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting needs.
- Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to align on tracking KPIs.
- Provide guidance and support on tagging and tracking implementations.
- Recommend and implement changes to improve website performance and user experience based on data insights.
- Conduct A/B testing and other optimization experiments.
- Provide ongoing support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to analytics.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and updates in Google Analytics and web analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Google Analytics.
- Some experience with Google Analytics tools, particularly Tag Manager, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, etc.).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Google Data Studio).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively interpret data and drive strategic improvements.
- Excellent communication ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A motivated and proactive learner, eager to stay updated on the latest digital trends and technologies and apply that knowledge to our analytics capabilities.
