We are seeking a versatile and experienced People Ops Generalist with a specialization in recruitment to join our team. As a People Ops Generalist – Recruitment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of the recruitment process while also providing comprehensive People Ops support across various functions. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both talent acquisition and broader HR initiatives within our organization.

What You’ll Do:

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent, utilizing a variety of channels such as job boards, social media, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide guidance on recruitment best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

Employee Engagement and Development:

  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, such as organizing team-building activities, employee recognition programs, and surveys.
  • Train managers and supervisors on performance evaluation best practices, providing guidance and support throughout the review cycle.
  • Integrate performance feedback into talent development initiatives, succession planning, and career development programs.

Employee Onboarding and Orientation:

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including paperwork completion, orientation sessions, and introductions to company policies and culture.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new employees, addressing questions, facilitating a smooth transition into the organization, and setting employees up for ongoing success.

HR Administration and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks, such as benefits administration, payroll processing, and performance management support.

HR Policies and Procedures:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to promote a positive work environment and ensure legal compliance.
  • Conduct trainings on HR topics as needed to educate employees and managers.

What Makes You The Perfect Fit:

  • 3-5 years in a People Operations role, with at least 1-2 years with a Recruiting focus
  • Proven experience with talent acquisition, with a strong track record of managing full cycle recruiting.
  • Strong competence with Greenhouse required; experience with Namely a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with candidates and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Creative thinking and innovation skills, with the ability to generate new ideas and approaches to new hire success and employee engagement
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to the ever-changing start-up environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Pay varies depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. For candidates outside of metro market areas, we use the state average.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

Nova Labs targets the 50th percentile of the pay scale for new hires.

The salary pay scale for the target experience and target skill set US locations:

  • Tier 1 (San Francisco / New York City): $97,000 – $127,000
  • Tier 2 (Boston, Seattle, DC, San Diego, Los Angeles, CA State Avg): $84,000 – $114,000
  • Tier 3 (Austin, Dallas, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Phoenix, Portland, Philadelphia, Sacramento): $80,000 – $108,000
  • Tier 4 Other, Miami, Columbus, Raleigh-Durham, SLC, Orlando, Eugene, NH, San Antonio): $75,000 – $102,000
