About the Role:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and data tables. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, strong SQL skills, and experience with Power BI. The Senior Data Engineer will hit the ground running focusing on our NetSuite data source migration initiative. The Senior Data Engineer will report to the Senior Director of our Enterprise Platforms.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for efficient data loading and transformation.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through robust validation processes.
  • Develop and optimize data tables to support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize data insights.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver impactful visualizations.
  • Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other IT team members to understand data needs and provide technical support.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Identify and implement best practices for data engineering processes.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and analytics.

NetSuite Integration (Preferred):

  • Integrate and manage data from NetSuite ERP system into the data warehouse.
  • Utilize NetSuite SuiteAnalytics and SuiteScript to enhance data extraction and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications & Interests:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in data engineering, with a focus on data pipeline development and data table creation.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with SQL and relational databases and database management.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Power BI and creating data visualizations.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL tools.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with dimensional data warehousing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.Estimated Pay Range$125,000—$135,000 USD
