Occupy a unique position in the market as a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing the data architecture for our organization. You will collaborate with and mentor cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of our data assets. Your expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration will play a vital role in driving data-driven decision-making and supporting our business objectives.
- Architect and Implement Design and implement scalable, efficient data solutions tailored to our evolving needs.
- System Development Develop and sustain distributed data systems, ensuring their performance, security, and integrity.
- Cloud Warehousing Collaborate with our architecture guild to lead the design and implementation of our cloud warehousing needs, prioritizing AWS services.
- ETL Optimization Implement and optimize ETL processes to seamlessly integrate data.
- Snowflake Management Utilize and optimize Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics.
- Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with diverse teams to grasp data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Issue Resolution Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly.
- Mentorship Provide guidance and foster growth opportunities for junior engineering staff.
What will help you succeed
- 5+ years Proven Expertise: Demonstrated success in a data-intensive role.
- Technical Proficiency: Significant hands-on experience with AWS, executing ETL processes, managing cost optimization, and navigating cloud infrastructure. And with Python and Snowflake.
- Governance Acumen: Some background in data and user governance, you are not scared of an ACL.
- Leadership Capacity: Ability to lead junior engineers and contribute actively to the engineering lifecycle.
