Job Description

Job Overview:

As a Senior QA Engineer at Ligadata, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge Big Data Analytics Platform & solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain a robust testing framework, contribute to the development of automated testing scripts, and champion quality assurance processes throughout the software development lifecycle

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design effective test plans.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, including regression, performance and security testing.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated testing scripts.
  • Identify, report, and track software defects to resolution.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting issues within the big data ecosystem
  • Familiarity with Big data technologies like (Hadoop, hive, presto etc.)
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability of features.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, framework and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in QA Automation Framework development & Design.
  • Identifies issues and technical interdependencies and suggests possible solutions.
  • Recreate complex customer and production reported issues to determine root cause and verify the fix.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior role.

  • Should have minimum 3 years of experience on working Big Data technologies on cloud & on-premise

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.

  • Experience in designing and implementing automated testing solutions.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar).

  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and other tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, JMeter, Playwright, K8, Jenkins etc.).

  • Knowledge of Hadoop and Hadoop Ecosystem components

  • Solid knowledge of SQL and database testing.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

  • Self-motivated and fast learner with a strong sense of ownership
