Job Description

The Data & BI Team Manager will bridge the gap between business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation, focusing on Data and/or BI. This role involves providing expert guidance and delivery for Data & BI team engagements, serving as the billable team leader on Workday implementations. As a senior Workday product expert, the Data & BI Team Manager will work closely with Engagement Managers, functional area leads, and senior client resources, offering strategic guidance and leadership to ensure robust and complete solutions that meet client needs and allow for future enhancements with minimal rework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on learning and implementing new approaches and improvements for the team.
  • Manage a team of Consultants and Senior Principal Consultants specialising in BI and Data.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for the team.
  • Act as a Workday product expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Reinforce company policies and procedures.
  • Drive and make decisions regarding the tactical direction of project workstreams.
  • Identify dependencies and support interplay between different workstreams within a project.
  • Lead, mentor, and oversee the work of other Consultants within their projects.
  • Coach and mentor the team members within your direct management
  • Design and generate data tracking and monitoring tools, and develop reports with accurate, easy-to-read, useful information.
  • Identify strategies, risks, and options, and recommend approaches and mitigations to meet client requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional discussions related to the execution of a Workday tenant build.
  • Manage team resourcing and balance workloads.
  • Deliver on individual projects.
  • Engage in discussions with the Sales team regarding the team’s work.
  • Act as an escalation point for customer issues.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Workday.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with data conversion, data mining, and data loading.
  • Current Workday Core certification preferred.
  • Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed.
