The role includes supporting users on the software and managing user manuals and documentation for customers. The candidate will be part of our growing software team shaping the future of our products. Main responsibilities:
- Develop algorithms and production-quality code that apply appropriate statistical methods to represent, process, and analyse large scientific datasets, with strong attention to numerical accuracy, reproducibility, and correctness of outputs.
- Design and implement strategies to manage high-volume data (e.g., data pipelines, caching, indexing, and efficient file formats) to enable fast visualisation, filtering, and export of results.
- Develop GUI and bioinformatics tools for scientific data representation and visualisation, implementing plots, diagrams, and UX components that help users explore data, interpret results, and make decisions.
- Define, implement, and execute test protocols (unit/integration/system), and support release readiness activities to ensure software quality prior to distribution to users.
- Write and maintain technical documentation and user manuals, producing clear step-by-step instructions, reference material, and visuals that support both new and advanced users.
- Gather and analyse user needs, contribute to requirements definition in cross-functional meetings, and ensure solutions align with customer goals.
- Provide customer-facing software consultancy and technical support on scientific data management, visualisation, and analysis (e.g., troubleshooting workflows, advising on best practices, and translating user needs into actionable improvements for the product team).
- Collaborate with the software and R&D teams on research activities and proof-of-concepts, including evaluation of new algorithms and support in analysing data collected from customers to guide product improvements.
