~2 min read- →Process, balance, and validate payroll for assigned divisions during each payroll cycle.
- →Review payroll interface files, data validation queries, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- →Conduct routine payroll audits and research discrepancies.
- →Set up and maintain garnishment orders and wage assignments from federal, state, and local agencies.
- →Provide first-level troubleshooting and support for payroll, timekeeping, and HR systems.
- →Assist divisions with payroll questions and provide guidance on payroll procedures, Workday processes, and related systems.
- →Develop and deliver training for Payroll Clerks and Driver Payroll Clerks as needed.
- →Serve as a backup payroll resource during unexpected staffing shortages at division locations.
- →Maintain compliance with wage and employment laws, payroll regulations, and company policies.
- →Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve payroll issues and improve processes.
Qualifications you’ll bring as a Payroll Specialist – Corporate: - →High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- →Two or more years of payroll experience required.
- →Experience with Workday or other HRIS/payroll systems preferred.
- →Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- →Working knowledge of payroll processes, wage and employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- →Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues accurately and efficiently.
- →Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- →Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- →Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- →Self-motivated problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- →Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and take ownership of results.
