Temp Aide - Coach: Robinson MS

• →Serves as a positive role model to student athletes
• →Provides individual and group instruction in preparation for competition
• →Supervises students during travel
• →Ensures the safety of students by adhering to both team and school rules and regulations
• →Participates in supervision of students during fundraisers
• →Coordinates dates and times for activities with the principal or designee
• →Coordinates the selection of participants necessary for given activities
• →Supervises students at all practices
• →Arranges for transportation, chaperones, and lodging when necessary
• →Keeps inventories of school property
• →Assists administration with preparation and monitoring of the budget relating to department activities, following established internal accounting procedures in collecting monies and in purchasing
• →Establishes written guidelines for awards and special recognition
• →Supervises the conduct of students in all team activities.

• Regular Attendance is important
• Ability to work outdoors in varied temperature conditions
• Attend all scheduled activities, events, and meetings related to the program
• Must be able to walk long distances
• Stand for long periods of time
• Bend/ twist, balance, stoop, climb steps, reach overhead, lift, push/pull up to 20 pounds or more with assistance

• Ability to understand the individual needs of each student
• Ability to conform to proper standards of professional dress and appearance
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written
• Ability to work cooperatively with others while maintaining confidentiality
• Ability to manage job responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate both verbally and written in order to communicate with others inside and outside of the organization for the purpose of giving and obtaining information
• Ability to communicate effectively with a Supervisor when their discretion is needed

• Use good judgment to make decisions on recurring assignments

• Has thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the Wichita Public Schools and KSHSAA

• Contact with personnel within the district and with customers and vendors
• Will be working under the direct supervision of the department supervisor in order to complete day to day tasks
• Will be working with a diverse population requiring the ability to handle all situations with tact and diplomacy
• Must understand and respond appropriately to customer needs and maintain a positive attitude with all customers and colleagues
• Expected to interact with all internal and external customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide quick, responsive customer service

• In order for schools to operate effectively, employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and work all scheduled hours during each designated workday, unless the employee has received approved leave
• Any deviation from assigned hours must have prior approval from the employee's supervisor or building administrator
• All employees are required to report to work dressed in a manner that reflects a positive image of USD 259 and is appropriate for their position

• Previous coaching experience in assigned sport is desired
• Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport
• Ability to complete annual Coach CPR/AED Training Requirement, Concussion and Head Injury Prevention/Management Education, and Heat Illness Prevention Education Requirement
