The Emergency Department at Atrium Health Cabarrus delivers comprehensive, high-quality care to both adult and pediatric patients, supported by a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary team. This team includes board-certified physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, nursing assistants, respiratory therapists, case managers, behavioral health navigators, and additional clinical support staff, all working together to provide exceptional patient-centered care. The department features a 44-bed emergency department with four dedicated trauma bays and is designated as a Level III Trauma Center, with additional support from two affiliated freestanding emergency departments—Atrium Health Kannapolis and Atrium Health Harrisburg—that feed into Cabarrus.
Atrium Health Cabarrus is nationally recognized for excellence, including the ENA Lantern Award, Age-Friendly Health System Bronze Accreditation, and Silver ACEP Pain and Addiction Care Accreditation. The department offers dedicated behavioral health spaces and specialized staffing outside of the main ED, as well as on-site access to pharmacy, laboratory, transport, environmental services, respiratory therapy, clinical case management, and radiology. Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS required within 6 months of hire
1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred
