This role typically works an 8-hour day shift
but will be required to work earlier or later hours on occasion.
Primary work site will be the Simulation Center at the Heil Conference Center,
including travel to multiple hospital and clinic sites across Aurora Health Care.
Orientation - will mostly take place in Libertybille IL
Travel between GMKE and Condell
Specialist will support and travel to Kenosha Mount Pleasant and South Shore
About the Role
~1 min read- Plan, schedule, and coordinate simulation‑based programs alongside simulation facilitators.
- Execute all technical aspects of simulation events, including equipment setup, tear‑down, programming, and basic maintenance.
- Support the launch and operations of simulation centers and in situ simulations across the enterprise.
- Maintain all simulation training equipment, including troubleshooting, coordinating repairs, and supporting software/hardware upgrades.
- Monitor inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
- Stay current and proficient in evolving simulation technologies.
- Provide training and serve as a resource for simulation confederates and users of simulation technologies.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality simulation experiences.
- Contribute to Advocate Aurora Academy initiatives by informing system‑wide learning strategies and ensuring simulation is represented.
- Collect, track, and organize accurate data supporting simulation activities and outcomes.
- Assist with scheduling, planning logistics, and operational coordination related to simulation events.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association)
- Associate’s degree in Organizational Development or Simulation or a related field required.
- Typically requires 2 years of experience in healthcare simulation operations, clinical practice, or related technology‑based roles.
- preference to simulation experience in healthcare, simulation certification CHSOS
- Time management, autonomy, medical / technology background
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations
- Effective collaborator within a diverse team environment
- Ability to travel to various Advocate Aurora Health facilities
Requirements

- Exposure to a typical office environment
