 The Role 

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Cloud Platform & DevOps Engineer to join our team. This is a high-impact, multi-faceted role that sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, AI/ML systems support, and full-stack troubleshooting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced delivery environment, can wear multiple hats, and brings both the technical depth and communication skills to coordinate across product, engineering, and business stakeholders.

Work You’ll Do

New development & enhancements

• Lead CDK development and upkeep for new and existing AWS infrastructure
• Partner with the product team to plan and scope implementations across the entire software stack
• Identify and fill gaps in implementation that fall outside traditional software responsibilities  reporting pipelines, data workflows, integrations, etc.
• Design and architect AWS infrastructure for new product capabilities and platform enhancements
• Serve as a technical bridge between product, engineering, and business — translating requirements into executable delivery plans
• Drive focus and coordination across all moving parts to consistently deliver expected business value

AWS Infrastructure Operations

• Maintain and upkeep running applications hosted in AWS across multiple environments
• Clean up artifacts and system components to manage cost and reduce operational overhead
• Update CDK (Python) infrastructure code as application needs evolve
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and automation failures proactively and as they occur

Security & Compliance

• Collaborate with the security team to address outstanding security findings and items
• Support HiTrust compliance requirements and remediation activities
• Drive best practice recommendations throughout design and implementation

Release Management & Deployment

• Help coordinate and run releases with the product team on both daily and weekly cadences
• Build and deploy artifacts across Dev, UAT, and Production environments
• Develop and upkeep CI/CD systems across multiple products
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies for smooth, reliable deployments

AI/ML Systems Support — DocyAI Orchestration

• Provide systems support for the DocyAI orchestration platform used by the AI/Data Science team
• Maintain and troubleshoot integrations including AWS Textract, Bedrock, Jenkins, Python job scripts, Lambda functions, and Step Functions (state machines)

Monitoring, Documentation & Support

• Own monitoring and alerting — configure notifications and respond to incidents
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation in Confluence
• Troubleshoot application-side issues across the full stack
• Join team calls as needed when issues arise or additional technical perspective is required
• Help verify new features and functionality as time permits
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering & DevOps architecture
• AWS Services (ECS, ECR, EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, Route53, Step Functions, Textract, Bedrock, Secrets Manager, etc.) 

• CDK (Python) infrastructure as code 
• DevOps practices & CI/CD pipeline management
• Python scripting & automation   
• Bash / Shell scripting (Linux-based EC2/Jenkins
• Debian Linux administration 
• Experience building and maintaining regulated distributed systems 
• Experience building and maintaining regulated cloud-based systems 
• Bitbucket / Git version control 
• Multi-tenancy & SaaS architecture 
• OCR processing (familiarity with Textract workflows) 
• Jira, Confluence — documentation & project tracking 
• Translating business needs into technical requirements 

Preferred Qualifications

• Full-stack development — backend & frontend
• JavaScript / TypeScript (frontend coordination)
• Golang (application-level support)
• AI tooling experience (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.)
• AI/ML terminology & project construction familiarity
• Power BI (reporting & dashboards)
• Azure AD / identity management
• Excel, PowerPoint (business communication)
