This position works at Istanbul location in the Core Diagnostics Division that we’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.
Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- The Distributor Operations Director is responsible to drive Core Diagnostics' business results via indirect management of regional distributor management resources and by rolling out distributor specific strategies in the region/s across EEMEAP (Türkiye , Iran, Lebanon, Georgia, Azerbaijan and CIS countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Armenia).
- The Distributor Operations Director creates efficient route-to-market models, oversees the development of the distributors network, develops, and executes enablement and engagement plans and runs the Area/Regional Performance program for Distributors being accountable for results.
- Ensures that all activities are performed in compliance with regulatory and quality system requirements.
- Ensures that OEC guidelines are followed and implemented.
- Cooperate with regional/ area management to define best routes-to-market where Distributors are required, including the number, function, and profile of the partners necessary to implement the strategy.
- Establish performance measurement mechanisms to detect improvement opportunities by using distributor improvement plans, renegotiations, terminations, and replacements.
- Leads the distributor contracting process in EEMEAPs from the business perspective, in line with existing policies and following best practices.
- Responsible to EEMEAP's Distributor Planning and Performance measurement system, based on joint business plans, quarterly reviews, and remediation actions.
- Assure the implementation of this management tool into the top distributors, assuring Distributors' awareness of expectations and incenting them to overperform versus agreed plan targets.
- Assures the data acquisition, preparation, and publication of Distributor Performance Dashboards.
- Lead and support the regional Distributor teams implementing Distributor specific strategies aiming to drive the Distributor Business in EEMEAP achieving its goals on:
- Sales, growth, and market Share
- Product Margin, Gross margin
- Inventory, Investments, Receivables
- Brand awareness and Customer satisfaction
- Area/Region responsible to assure that new and existing Distributors are enabled to perform the contracted services overall, with focus in the business development functions (marketing and sales).
- Assure the engagement of the Distributors, developing a range of initiatives aiming to get the Distributors' time allocated to Core Diagnostics business improvement and development.
- Lead the efforts to make use of marketing strategies and deliverables developed to end Customers to adapt to the Distributor channel, simplifying and streamlining its delivery.
Requirements
~1 min read- University degree, ideally in one of the following fields:
- Natural sciences (biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, medicine, etc.)
- Engineering (chemical, biomedical, etc.)
- Management Sciences.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant management experience in Medical Devices / Diagnostics and minimum 5 years as a people manager
- Strong experience in the Healthcare industry, ideally in the IVD sector.
- Extensive experience in direct sales of professional healthcare products.
- Knowledge of single and multiple-tier indirect channel sales models, including its design and development.
- Experience in Emerging Markets required.
- Customer service orientation; driven to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Strong communication skills - can simplify the complex and explain to others.
- Proven track record of collaborating with other teams and delivering results on budget/on schedule/on strategy.
- Excellent planning, prioritization, management, organizational and strategic thinking skills
- Identifies and anticipates risks and creates contingency plans.
- Results driven, brings solutions to the market with quality.
