We are seeking a high caliber, experienced Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis with strong presence and business acumen to support our Structural Heart Division business in our Santa Clara, CA location.
Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.
You will be responsible for financial leadership oversight, driving value creation and ensuring insightful, forward-looking forecasting. Specifically, this position manages, coordinate and consolidate the Rolling LBEs, quarterly confirmation forecasts and monthly reporting for Global Abbott Structural Heart, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of financial information. Produce analytics and business support to enable informed decision making by the executive staff. Prepare high quality presentations to be shared with senior leaders across the organization.
- Deliver Accurate Financial Forecasts: Ensure short and long-term financial forecasts are presented in a meaningful way and of very high quality. Develop, implement, and oversee processes to deliver clear and consistent forecasting and reporting of the organization’s cost and value while aligning financial impacts across Structural Heart in a transparent manner. Foresee potential opportunities/risk and prepare contingency plans. Prepare clear and concise executive management presentation materials to communicate division financial objectives and performance. Assists prepare P&L Causal and Gross Margin Rollforward.
- Drive Results: Evaluate and drive innovative value creation and initiatives for continuous, measurable improvements. Produce high impact business analyses and decision support for executive management to optimize financial performance and profitability.
- Serve as the primary global financial planning and analysis (FP&A) point of contact for the division. Includes preparing a planning calendar with key dates and deliverables, identifying and communicating all FP&A submission requirements, developing flexible, comprehensive tools and templates to consolidate and analyze LBE results while ensuring financial submission materials meet requirements and needs of the division, Medical Devices headquarters and/or Corporate.
- Oversee Planning System and other analytical tools: Serve as the main contact for all division requests/administration for the financial planning system (DODECA). Identify enhancements and implement as approved. Develop overall data and analytics strategy. Communicate with global FP&A contacts to coordinate on routine and ad hoc management requirements.
- Develop Talent: Manage and develop a financial analyst and contribute to the overall training and on-going support to the Geos/Areas/Global functions.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, economics (or related fields).
- 8 + combined experience in accounting or finance (in addition to equivalent experience listed above).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization as well as with domestic and international colleagues.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, variance analysis skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a geographically diverse, matrixed organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple priorities.
- Advanced level proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivots, what if/sum if, etc.), PowerPoint, and Hyperion Essbase (Dodeca).
- Prior supervisory experience of exempt employees.
- Advanced level degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. CPA or other certifications.
- Medical device experience.
- Experience with SAP, HFM, and PowerBI.
