As the Reliability Engineer, you will:
- Serve as the Site Lead for division maintenance excellence programme.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing and maintenance teams to identify and manage equipment reliability risks that could adversely impact plant or business operations.
- Responsible for driving continuous equipment reliability improvements by providing and coordinating technical support and by managing reliability improvement processes for the site with the aim of reducing the risk levels to the business

Independently plans and coordinates activities within the Maintenance Excellence Program (Mex). Point of liaison for key stakeholders

Formulate predictive maintenance techniques for the manufacturing facility to predict when maintenance should be performed
- →
Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, control and safety systems through robust and sustainable planning and scheduling and effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs

Gathers maintenance and manufacturing performance data and perform trend analysis to support effective root cause analysis and identify maintenance programe improvements

Prepares and communicated recommendations and action plans to drive cost containment and cost reduction effort

Lead and manage projects related to reliability centered maintenance programs for the site

Monitor the performance of critical plant equipment and systems
- →
Facilitates root cause analysis for equipment downtime, including coaching and peer reviews of equipment downtime root cause analysis

Develops and executes reliability studies and evaluations of equipment robustness

Participate in strategy planning on reliability programs

Benchmarks internally and externally and deploys predictive and reliability centered maintenance strategies.
Attend regular departmental meetings with relevant manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.
Meet the requirements of ISO by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met.
Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment.
Ensure any PPE provided by the Abbott is worn and maintained.
Report any accidents or incidents within 24 hours through allocated system and notify your manager.
Ensure all activities carried out by self and others are in accordance with legislative employment policies, health & safety requirements and global policy.
Promote a standard of excellence for quality and customer focus at Abbott.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering majoring in electrical, control and instrumentation, chemical, IT or related discipline or diploma with minimum 2 years expereince
- Min 3+ years of experience in engineering, project management or related field
- Proven project management and execution skills.
- Effective management and influencing capability without direct authority.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to balance regulatory expectations with practical site execution.
This position is based in Waikato > Pokeno.
