Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a professional services, MSP, VAR, systems integrator, or enterprise IT environment.
As a Senior Microsoft Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and implementation of Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions across customer environments. You will lead and execute complex Microsoft technology projects, perform advanced troubleshooting, and provide expert-level consulting and support focused on Microsoft platforms. This position requires a consultative, customer-facing engineer who can translate business requirements into scalable Microsoft solutions, execute deployments with precision, and ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Solution Design & Deployment: Lead the design, deployment, and implementation of Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions across customer environments.
- →Project Leadership: Lead and execute complex Microsoft technology projects, working closely with project managers, solution architects, and customer stakeholders.
- →Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform advanced troubleshooting and provide expert-level support focused on Microsoft platforms.
- →Migration Support: Plan, execute, and support on-premises, hybrid, and cloud migrations with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
- →Infrastructure Design: Design and implement Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions with an emphasis on availability, scalability, and security.
- →Automation: Implement automation and administrative tasks using PowerShell to improve efficiency and consistency.
- →Stakeholder Communication: Recommend and implement practical, scalable Microsoft solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- →Documentation: Produce and maintain technical documentation including architectural diagrams, implementation guides, and audit reports.
Requirements
~2 min read- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a professional services, MSP, VAR, systems integrator, or enterprise IT environment.
- Technical Skills: Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory (domain architecture, FSMO roles, DNS, Group Policy, replication, trusts), Microsoft Hyper-V, and Windows-based virtualization; strong understanding of core networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, and VPNs; experience with PowerShell automation.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication with a professional, consultative, customer-facing presence; ability to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments; willingness to work outside standard business hours for project cutovers, migrations, or critical deployments.
- Language: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Hyper-Converged Infrastructure: Experience supporting Hyper-V–based or Microsoft-aligned hyper-converged infrastructure solutions.
- Backup & Recovery: Experience with Microsoft-focused backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam or similar platforms.
- Security & Identity: Familiarity with Microsoft security and identity technologies including Entra ID (Azure AD), conditional access, MFA, and role-based access control.
- Compliance: Familiarity with environments subject to regulatory or compliance requirements such as PCI, HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar frameworks.
- Endpoint Management: Experience with Intune, MECM/SCCM, or related endpoint management tools.
- Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation in Microsoft environments (e.g., PowerShell DSC, ARM templates, Terraform).
- Fully remote; employees are expected in-office 1–2 times per month for team engagement activities.
- 4x10 compressed workweek — 4 days per week, 10 hours per day. Offsetting hours is the norm to align with US client time zones.
- After-hours and weekend coverage may be required on occasion.
