Forward Deployed Engineer

We are looking for one of our first engineering hires in Singapore — a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who will play a critical role in shaping Addepar’s growth in the region.

Forward Deployed Engineers partner directly with key technical and strategic stakeholders at Addepar’s largest enterprise clients. From building custom data integrations to extending platform capabilities, FDEs operate with autonomy and ownership to deliver meaningful impact for our clients.

At Addepar, FDEs are not part of a services organization. Instead, they act as an extension of the platform, partnering with clients in a highly collaborative way, focused on outcomes rather than billable hours. You will join a global FDE team that continuously evaluates opportunities and priorities, ensuring we are solving the most important and impactful problems for our clients.

• Minimum 4+ years of experience as a professional Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages (Java and/or Python preferred), and/or compiled languages (Go, Rust, Scala preferred).
• Experience building systems with relational or NoSQL database storage.
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or another technical field, paired with professional software engineering experience.
• Strong ability to lead complex projects, manage timelines, and build strong working relationships.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional and collaborative team environments.

• Experience in one or more strongly typed server-side programming languages (e.g., Java, C++).
• Experience with distributed storage and execution frameworks (e.g., Arrow, Spark, Flink, Storm).
