JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Anesthesiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Portsmouth, OH Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Jun 1, 2026 – Jul 3, 2026 Shift Schedule: Mon - Fri; 7a - 3:30p Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Patient Demographic: Pediatric and Adult Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency COVERAGE DATES Jun 01, 2026 – Jun 05, 2026 Jun 22, 2026 – Jun 26, 2026 Jun 29, 2026 – Jul 03, 2026 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: MediTech Support Staff: 17 CRNAs REQUIRED PROCEDURES Spinal, epidural, & regional anesthesia OB anesthesia cases Open heart, thoracic, vascular, & complex orthopedic cases Post-op epidurals & extremity blocks Lumbar/cervical epidural steroid & transforaminal injections X-ray/fluoroscopic-guided blocks Ventilation, acute volume/BP management Central, arterial, & PA catheter placement CRNA supervision JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required Licenses: Licensed in OH Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive anesthesia services for inpatient and outpatient surgical cases. Perform pre-operative evaluations and manage ventilation and hemodynamic stability. Supervise CRNAs in the delivery of anesthesia care. Execute a wide range of regional and general anesthesia techniques including complex vascular and orthopedic procedures. Utilize x-ray guidance for pain management blocks and manage post-operative epidural and extremity blocks.
