JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Emergency Medicine • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Bristol, TN • Service Setting: Emergency Room/Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 08/20/2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: TBD - 38 physician coverage hours daily PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 47,000 annual visits • Admissions: Yes • Case Mix: Emergency Medicine cases including pediatric and adult emergency care FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 342 hospital beds • Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard Emergency Department equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Pediatric and adult specialty support services • Support Staff Available: APP coverage with 33 hours daily PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Emergency stabilization and treatment • Airway management • Supervising NP and PA providers JOB REQUIREMENTS • Active unrestricted Tennessee Medical License required • Board Certified through ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, ABPS, or AOA required • Active DEA with TN address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 required • ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required if not Board Certified in Emergency Medicine; NRP required for non-ABEM providers • New EM residency graduates within the past 12 months considered • ECFMG required for foreign medical graduates DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide emergency medical evaluation and treatment to patients of all ages • Perform emergency stabilization and emergency procedures as needed • Supervise and collaborate with NP and PA providers • Document patient encounters accurately within Epic EMR • Maintain compliance with credentialing, CME, and immunization requirements
