JOB OVERVIEW Job ID: 102138 Profession: Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant Specialty: NP/PA-Hospitalist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Bristol, Tennessee Coverage Period: Aug 28, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Nocturnist Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 263 Acute Care Beds (38 ICU beds) EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC) Licenses: Active Tennessee RN License, Active Tennessee NP License, Tennessee DEA with TN address DEA / CDS: Active DEA with TN address required Certifications: ACLS Certification Experience: Preferred 2 years recent Hospitalist experience; new graduates considered Other Qualifications: Graduate of accredited NP program; documentation of MMR/Varicella immunity; Two-Step TB test; case logs for previous 2 years DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide nocturnist hospital medicine coverage, including patient admissions and cross-coverage. Perform comprehensive histories and physicals, and manage discharge planning. Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team. Respond to medical emergencies and code situations as needed. Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR.
