JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Wisconsin Rapids, WI Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:3 Call Response Time: 30 min Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 20-25 clinic, 1-6 inpt Admissions: 1-3 Rounding: Unassigned Patients Phone Consults: 1-3 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: 1 RN, 1 NP/PA, 2 MAs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Low risk pregnancy FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation; Level I/Screening (viability) Routine delivery; Vaginal, Low forceps Decision-making for c-section Complicated delivery; C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc. Surgical gynecology; Open Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Neonatal Rescusitation Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Manage low-risk and complicated pregnancies, including labor and delivery management. Perform routine and surgical gynecological procedures, including C-sections and laparoscopic surgeries. Participate in a 1:3 call rotation to provide 24/7 coverage support. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, MAs, and APPs to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
