JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Durant, OK 74701 Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:2 Call Response Time: 30 minutes Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Department Restructuring Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 5 patients/day Admissions: 1 Rounding: Both Phone Consults: 3 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: cerner and Athena Support Staff: RNs: 2, Office Staff: 2 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: Routine delivery Vaginal C-section Breech Multiple births Abruptions VBAC's Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Preferred: Low risk pregnancy High risk pregnancy FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation (Level I/Screening (viability), Level II/Targeted (anatomic)) Amniocentesis Low forceps Decision-making for c-section Complicated delivery Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc. Surgical gynecology - (Open) Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's Laser certification JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Eligible Licenses: Licensed in OK Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ABLS Fellowship: Required Duties & Responsibilities Provide on-call coverage for Obstetrics and Gynecology services. Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and breech births. Manage patient admissions and rounding for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Conduct phone consultations as required by the department. Collaborate with nursing and office staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
