POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager for our Crane Systems division. This role will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of crane system projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, communicating with key stakeholders, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise throughout the project lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement detailed project plans for crane system installations, upgrades, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with customer specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Budget and Cost Control: Oversee project budgets, monitor costs, and manage expenses to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints while maintaining quality standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and regular updates on project status.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues within the project scope, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all crane system projects meet the required safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Scheduling & Timelines: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating all activities to ensure timely delivery of crane systems and equipment.
- Problem Resolution & Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any technical, operational, or logistical issues that arise during the project, working closely with the technical team to find effective solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in crane systems or related heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of crane operations, installation processes, and relevant safety and regulatory standards.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects from initiation to completion.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- PMP certification or similar project management credentials.
- Experience working with crane manufacturers and suppliers.
- Knowledge of safety management systems and OSHA regulations.
- Familiarity with cost estimation and contract negotiation in the construction or manufacturing sectors.
