Lead the Mental Health Technician team supporting adolescents ages 13–17 in a PHP/IOP behavioral health program. This hands-on role blends team leadership, client support, group facilitation, administrative coordination, and day-to-day office management.

You’ll help keep the program organized, welcoming, and running smoothly while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for clients, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • →Supervise, train, schedule, and support the Mental Health Technician team
  • →Coordinate daily assignments, program coverage, client movement, and staff communication
  • →Facilitate structured psychoeducational, life-skills, and recreational groups using approved curriculum
  • →Support client intakes, assessments, drug testing, groups, and psychiatric appointments
  • →Observe client behavior and document participation, concerns, and significant events accurately
  • →Provide emotional support while maintaining clear professional boundaries
  • →Respond to crises using appropriate de-escalation and redirection techniques
  • →Collaborate closely with therapists, clinical leadership, and program operations
  • →Complete incident reports, group notes, attendance records, and other required documentation
  • →Support administrative responsibilities, including calendars, correspondence, record organization, supply tracking, and general office coordination
  • →Help manage front-office needs and ensure clients, families, visitors, and vendors are welcomed and directed appropriately
  • →Maintain facility organization, safety, cleanliness, and Environment of Care compliance
  • →Identify operational or clinical concerns and escalate them to the appropriate leader
  • Two or more years of behavioral health, mental health, youth services, or related experience
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • Comfortable facilitating structured groups for adolescents
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to balance client-facing responsibilities with office and program coordination
  • Calm, professional, and emotionally regulated under pressure
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Eligible for DCF and AHCA Level 2 background screening

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with adolescents and families
  • PHP, IOP, residential, or substance use treatment experience
  • Experience with office management, scheduling, or program administration
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire
