~1 min read- →Leverages technology for surveillance and reporting, ensuring data integrity and timely submission to applicable regulatory systems.
- →Collaborates with internal teams and external partners including public health officials, healthcare coalitions, and vendors to enhance infection prevention outcomes.
- →Advocates for evidence-based practices, maintaining adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- →Participates in research and quality improvement initiatives, differentiating between QI and research, and disseminating results through education and consultation.
- →Contributes to product evaluation and cost-effectiveness initiatives, supporting organizational goals through informed decision-making and business case development.
- →Leads the implementation and continuous improvement of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program, aligning initiatives with organizational quality and safety goals.
- →Monitors compliance with IPC standards and conducts surveillance using epidemiologic principles and statistical tools to detect disease trends, clusters, and outbreaks.
- Associate [Required]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
- Health science, healthcare delivery, public health, laboratory science, or related field. Advanced degree/ internship could be considered in lieu of experience.
- 2+ in clinical setting, infection control or public health. [Required]
- Hospital-based or Operating Room IP experience required
- Infection Control Certification (CIC) [Preferred]
- Registered Nurse Preferred
