Whether it’s for our payment processing capabilities or card issuing programs, Adyen partners with a wide variety of financial organizations to provide a frictionless, end-to-end financial technology platform for our customers.
In this position, you will drive the deal-making process with our largest and most important partners and vendors, such as Mastercard and Klarna. Working within cross-functional teams, you will ensure financially sound and optimal outcomes. You will join our Global Group Finance organization as the first dedicated strategic deal desk manager for these partnership agreements. This offers the opportunity to create direct impact while helping shape the future and direction of this function.
Responsibilities
~1 min readDeal Advisory & Financial Modeling
- →Ensure optimal outcomes of multi-million dollar deals with key industry partners.
- →Create clear insights into the financial impact of these deals under various scenarios.
- →Build financial models and perform financial analysis for complex agreements.
- →Collect and verify diverse data points, while both forming and challenging assumptions.
- →Prepare financial deal summaries for leadership discussions and decision-making.
- →Act as a proactive deal advisor to structure agreements and apply best practices.
Collaboration & Standardization
- →Work cross-functionally with diverse teams (e.g., Payment Partnership Managers, Pricing, Finance, Procurement, Commercial Strategy, Commercial) to mature internal ways of working.
- →Drive standardization to ensure replicability and comparability across deals.
- →Empower the Partnership organization to build and run their own financial analyses for straightforward deals.
- Experience: 5+ years of expertise in a similar role, ideally with a background in banking, consulting, or fintech.
- Education: A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Track Record: Proven success in supporting the closure of large, complex deals and building sound financial models to guide those decisions.
- Mindset: An entrepreneurial approach, thriving in a fast-paced environment that requires continuous prioritization.
- Communication: An effective communicator who can build a strong network within a global company, as well as influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
