We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Senior Software Engineer. This position is with a small, established team based in the DFW area, offering a collaborative and relaxed work environment that fosters innovation. Must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Responsible for developing and maintaining application-level software that simulates airborne radar systems and other sensors for use in a variety of training devices. The software is written in the C++ programming language on Windows and Linux platforms.
- →Responsible for performing tasks related to the following areas:
- →Software Design
- →Software Implementation
- →Technical Documentation
- →Team Collaboration
- →Customer Interaction
- →Software Integration and Testing
- →Task Planning and Schedule Estimating
- 5+ years of experience in software development using C/C++
- Strong understanding of real-time application programming
- Expertise in cross-platform development (Windows & Linux)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong foundation and mathematics and physics
- Ability to work with export-controlled technology
- Technical Expertise:
- Knowledge of radar technology and signal processing
- Experience with OpenGL and graphics application programming
- Background in real-time, multi-processing systems
- Familiarity with tools for geographic data processing (e.g. KML, vector files, digital elevation models, satellite imagery)
- Developmental Tools & Practices
- Experience with defect tracking systems (Bugzilla, Jira)
- Proficiency with configuration management tools (Preforce, Git)
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation
- Industry Experience
- Prior experience in training and simulation industry
- Willingness to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
