We're seeking an experienced EHS Program Manager to help lead that commitment.

The EHS Program Manager is responsible for leading the development, coordination, and ongoing management of environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization. This role supports the safe, compliant, and effective operation of workplace safety initiatives, including hazard identification, risk mitigation, incident prevention, and regulatory compliance.

This position helps ensure strong EHS program control, reliable safety practices, effective training and reporting, and continuous improvement in workplace safety performance that support business continuity and operational excellence. The EHS Program Manager acts as a trusted partner to operational and leadership teams, balancing day-to-day program oversight with strategic planning for risk reduction, compliance, and safety culture

The EHS Program Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization. This role ensures compliance with all applicable Federal regulations and promotes a culture of safety and sustainability. The EHS Program Manager will work closely with various departments to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures. 

Key Responsibilities: 

What You'll Do:

As EHS Program Manager, you'll play a key role in advancing AFL's Environmental, Health & Safety strategy through the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs that support safe, compliant, and high-performing operations

  • Lead EHS projects and initiatives that support corporate safety objectives and business priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of safety programs, procedures, training, and reporting practices.
  • Partner with operational leaders to identify risks, implement solutions, and strengthen safety performance.
  • Support compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety legislation and standards.
  • Enhance EHS reporting and performance measurement through meaningful KPIs and analytics.
  • Advance digital learning and training solutions that improve accessibility, consistency, and engagement.
  • Contribute to a culture where safety, accountability, and continuous improvement are embedded in everything we do.

You are a collaborative and proactive safety professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and driving meaningful change.

You'll be successful in this role if you have:

  • 5-7 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and improving EHS programs.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, risk management principles, regulatory compliance, and safety management systems.
  • Experience leading projects and partnering with stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on practical solutions and measurable results.
  • Experience using EHS systems, reporting tools, and emerging technologies.

Skills:

 Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.

  •  Project Management
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in EHS management software and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
