About the Role
~1 min readWe are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our client's team on a full-time remote basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong U.S. construction estimating experience who can independently prepare accurate, competitive, and profitable cost estimates for residential and commercial projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with company leadership, manage multiple estimating requests, and play a key role in supporting the company's sales and project acquisition efforts.
Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential remodeling and commercial construction projects.

Perform quantity takeoffs using construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.

Develop complete estimate proposals, including labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, overhead, and management costs.

Review project plans and specifications to identify scope, risks, and pricing requirements.

Ensure estimates maintain healthy profit margins while remaining competitive.

Coordinate with company leadership to clarify project scope and pricing strategies.

Maintain organized estimating records and documentation.

Meet estimating deadlines to support bidding and business development activities.

Continuously monitor U.S. construction pricing trends and market conditions.
Requirements
~1 min readBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional estimating experience).
Minimum of 3 years of U.S. construction estimating experience.
Strong experience estimating residential remodeling and/or commercial construction projects.
Advanced proficiency in:
PlanSwift
Bluebeam
Microsoft Excel
Other industry-standard estimating software
Strong understanding of U.S. construction methods, materials, and pricing.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
Experience estimating both residential and commercial construction projects.
Knowledge of multiple construction delivery methods.
Experience developing value engineering recommendations.
Proven ability to produce accurate, profitable estimates in a fast-paced environment.
