AHF Products has a great career opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to be located at the Lancaster Floor Plant in Lancaster, PA. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing day to day technical support of operations, supporting the maintenance and engineering teams to understand and prevent equipment failures, and leadership of engineering projects with accountability for safety, schedule, cost, and performance. This position reports to the Principal Engineer.
Responsibilities

- →Design, develop and test the manufacture and installation of Mechanical equipment, components and systems
- →Identify, develop, and execute projects to drive continuous improvement
- →Leads efforts to improve system reliability such that production output is maximized
- →Identifies, recommends, and implements solutions to downtime situations based on analysis of the manpower/equipment/reliability required to resolve
- →Applies working knowledge of materials and components
- →Prepares drawing(s) to support engineering specifications
- →Lead and support root cause analysis on equipment failure methods
- →Focus on process improvement work, daily process support, cost reduction activities, and project management
- →Using Lean and Six sigma fundamentals, collaborate with the operations team to troubleshoot any processing issues that may arise during normal day-to-day operations
- →Actively participate in incident investigations and risk assessments
- →Ensure compliance with all standards and customer requirements, including OSHA Guidelines
- →Schedule flexibility needed with occasional weekends and holidays for project work
Requirements
~1 min read- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent engineering degree
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including: collaborating with maintenance/production/technical personnel to drive reliability and directly supporting day-to-day operations
- Background in managing capital improvement projects
- Personal experience in Lean and Six Sigma fundamentals with an emphasis on root cause analysis
- AutoCAD experience desired
