Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity through its Indonesia entity, PT AHK Testing Indonesia, who is looking for a Quality Manager to join our team. PT AHK Testing Indonesia provides independent analysis and inspection services to the metals, minerals, and solid fuels industries. We have a well-earned reputation for our knowledge and professionalism in all aspects of weighing, sampling, and analysis.  

The primary purpose of the Quality Manager is to ensure that the organisation’s services consistently meet both customer expectations and regulatory compliance to ISO/IEC 17025 and/or ISO/IEC 17020 standards. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) across all sections within Indonesia, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and acting as the primary point of contact for all KAN accreditation and compliance matters. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

Essential 

• Scientific and technical leadership skills to design, implement, and maintain rigorous QMS frameworks under ISO 17025 and ISO 17020.
• Expert knowledge of KAN accreditation requirements and compliance processes.
• Strong ability to review quality control data, spot trends or biases, perform root cause analysis, and manage the NCR and CAPA systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear quality guidance to laboratory personnel and manage varied personalities.
• High organizational and planning skills, with the capacity to coordinate document control, facilitate external audits, and plan management reviews.
• Outstanding attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong concern for order and deadline compliance.
• Ability to maintain a professional attitude when dealing with escalated issues, customer complaints, and system deviations.

Required Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• At least 2 years of experience operating in a dedicated Quality Leadership role.
• Deep operational context within the testing, inspection, or mining services industry is highly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Coal and Minerals sampling, preparation, and testing methods and standards.

Required Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in a relevant scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Bioscience, or equivalent working experience.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
