Full-time | Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic

AID Performance Physical Therapy is hiring a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) for an in-clinic sports/orthopedic rehab role (outpatient). This is a great opportunity for a sports-minded clinician who wants to treat active patients, build strong rehab skills, and work in a high-performance environment with a supportive team.

This is an in-clinic treating role. You will manage an orthopedic/sports caseload and work closely with our Physical Therapists to deliver excellent outcomes and an outstanding patient experience.

The Role
As a treating Athletic Trainer, you will:

  • Provide evidence-based orthopedic and sports rehab care to active patients

  • Build treatment plans, progress exercises, and deliver return-to-sport programming

  • Utilize objective testing tools (VALD) to guide decision-making and track progress

  • Collaborate with PTs and support staff to maintain a high standard of care

  • Support clinic culture and deliver a 5-star patient experience

  • Optional growth: assist in re-establishing sports/community partnerships over time

Qualifications

  • Current ATC certification and eligible to practice in Virginia (required)

  • BLS/CPR certification (required)

  • Strong interest in outpatient orthopedics and sports rehab

  • Dry Needling certification is a plus (not required—training available)

  • New grads are encouraged to apply (especially those with strong sports/ortho clinical experience)

Expectations / Success Metrics

  • Build to a full orthopedic/sports caseload with support from the team

  • Deliver excellent patient outcomes and maintain high patient satisfaction

  • Maintain strong documentation and communication

  • Bring energy, professionalism, and a team-first attitude

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay: $60,000–$70,000 (based on experience and clinic readiness)

  • Structured compensation review at 60–90 days based on caseload build, documentation quality, and clinic autonomy

  • Bonus potential (individual + clinic goals)

  • Sign-on or relocation bonus (based on experience and location)

  • PTO eligible after 90 days (starting PTO based on experience; increases with tenure)
