The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.

This is a grant funded contractual position.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring effective financial management, budgeting, compliance, monitoring, and reporting of Project. The position will ensure adherence to donor regulations, organizational policies, and applicable financial management standards.

Specifically, you will be responsible to;
•    monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and funding allocations
•    ensure grant expenditures are allowable, allocable, reasonable, and properly documented
•    review financial transactions to ensure compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies
•    prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
•    develop donor financial reports and support schedules according to award requirements
•    conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for budget deviations
•    support timely submission of financial reports to donors and management
•    coordinate grant-related audits and financial reviews
•    conduct periodic field monitoring visits to project sites, subrecipients, and implementing partners to assess financial management practices and compliance with donor requirements
•    maintain expenditure forecasts and cash flow projections
•    review contract/ agreements to ensure financial compliance, budget accuracy, risk mitigation, and adherence to donor and organizational requirements prior to approval and execution.

Requirements:
You should have:
•    a Master’s or Bachelor's degree or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. However, professional qualifications (ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage
•    at least three years’ experience in Finance 
•    knowledge of overall financial systems 
•    ability to multitask and think out of the box
•    possess good Analytical Skills
•    ability to operate MS Office
•    ability to demonstrate Communication and Interpersonal Skills
•    ability to work under stringent deadlines with minimal supervision 
•    manage team and time effectively.
